🇩🇪 Intensive Course B2 (B2.1 & B2.2)

Our B2 intensive courses lay the foundations for participation in professional and everyday life in Germany. Communication, writing skills, reading and listening comprehension, as well as grammar appropriate to the level are developed during the course.

Target audience:
The target audience of our B2 intensive courses are persons who have previously completed the B1 level (CEFR) or can prove corresponding knowledge in this level.

Age:
The courses are offered exclusively for persons of legal age.

Course content:
The skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing are practiced within the B2 intensive courses, so that at the end of the B2 intensive courses the participants achieve the following qualifications with regard to these four points:

  • Listening: Participants can understand longer speeches, speeches and lectures.
  • Reading: Participants gain the skills to read and understand articles and reports on a wide range (e.g., culture, politics, history).
  • Speaking: Participants should be able to communicate spontaneously and fluently with native speakers without much effort. The participants should be able to discuss actively and to represent and justify their opinions regarding different topics.
  • Writing: The participants should be able to produce texts in which they express themselves on topics from personal areas of interest, reproduce information, express complaints or weigh up arguments and counter-arguments.

Current DaF textbooks are used in the course (e.g. Mittelpunkt B2, Erkundungen B2, Sicher! B2). Students are responsible for purchasing their own textbooks.

🇩🇪 Intensive Course B2.1

Thematic focus:
School, education, interpersonal relationships, housing and rent, travel, trouble on vacation & letters of complaint, cultural differences at work, Europe and the Germans, small talk

Grammar:
Modal verbs, past tenses of verbs: perfect/ preterite/ past perfect, declension of adjectives, local indications: Alternating prepositions, passive voice, verbs with prepositional case, n – declension, causal and consecutive indications: weil, denn, deshalb, so…dass etc.

Thematic Focus:
Everyday work: e-mails & phone calls, activities & leisure, university, history and politics, news from all over the world, crime stories 

Grammar:
Subjunctive II: politeness, unreality, the subjunctive II in the past tense, verb tense, word order in the sentence, temporal indications, conditional indications, Subjunctive I : indirect speech, Subjunctive I : substitute forms, noun – verb – compounds, prepositions.

Do you still have problems finding the right words in a conversation, reacting quickly to questions or are you a little shy at times? In our conversation course we will prepare you for everyday life so that you can take part in any conversation.
